Cholla trail is closed. Echo canyon trail is the only way to access camelback for now. Parking was crowded. I went mid-day on a Wednesday but there were still 2-3 spots open at the main lot, which is a lot better than Piestewa. It’s popular and safe to go alone. If you don’t see anyone on the trail, you are probably off track!
It’s not as crowded though people will be passing as you go but there are sections when I had time by myself. There is rock scrambling, on and off inclines but great views of the city and mountains !
