Getting spicy with El Capitan

El Cajon mountain trailhead

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Minor obstacles posing few problems

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were not too bad

Snow:

Snow free

Leave early!!! This was a challenging hike but we lucked out with overcast skies on the way up.  Brought 5L of water which was plenty. Last mile is the hardest, with narrow trail and points where it felt like we were pseudo rock climbing.  GORGEOUS views all around and rock formations.
