The vertical ascent was not for the faint of heart.
Maybe the short night Monday night and summiting Queens (aka Kings) Peak on Sunday was catching up with us???

We were a bit over half way when a gentleman and his son who were descending informed us that the peak wouldn’t be better that the saddle and they recommended that we stop there.

Needless to say, we are rather stubborn and carried on. We did need a pep talk once or twice to carry us to the top.

The trail was quite overgrown but incredibly beautiful. The number and variety of flowers were stunning.

2/3 of the group said they are not interested in repeating this hike. I would go again, preferably after more sleep.
