This hike was a never ending climb. The trail is quite steep…the entire way! It was a little warm on Saturday, maybe mid 80's. There was a nice cloud layer when we started the hike which was nice before the sun was out,  and we stayed so long most of our hike down was in the shade lol. We were completely exhausted after this hike. We used to live in So Cal and have done many of the peaks. Also hiked the JMT in 2021. However we have lived in WA for the last year and a half. We moved back a few weeks ago and so this was our first hike with any amount of elevation gain in six months or more. Probably not the best hike for the first one of the season 🙂 So it was harder than it had to be, but we accomplished it!!!
