While there was some light rain and overcast on the Franconia Ridge Trail, the good weather is finally coming back! The rest of this hike saw no rain, little wind, warmer temperatures and the sun finally shown through the trees once more.
Just in time to do probably one of my hikes in White Mountains, I’ve done the Falling Waters trail before a couple times to the Franconia Ridge, but this time I got to continue past Mt. Lincoln to Mt. Lafayette (Which is actually higher than Lincoln) then down the Old Bridle Path which I had never done before.
While I only got a couple windows of views from the top due to the overcast, I’m still very happy to be hiking in more comfortable conditions again and I still very much enjoyed this hike. I also still got some really nice view pics, especially from the vistas at the Old Bridle Path, the views of the Ridge are crazy from there!
Still got one more White Mountain left and it’s the biggest and likely toughest of them all. But it looks like it’s going to be a nice, clear day tomorrow so I feel more confident than ever! Only 2 peaks left!
