Unfortunately, the weather at the start was drizzly with really low clouds which blocked our views all the way to the top. But on the other hand the cooler drizzly weather was a Godsend on the first 2 miles up. Those were the toughest miles of the hike! The rest was fire road and not too bad. Once we were at the top the person posted in the High Point Lookout Tower said hello. We took a break, had a snack and still couldn't see any views. For literally no more than 2 minutes it cleared enough for us to see the Palomar Observatory and snap a couple of pictures. We'd definitely like to do this hike again, it was beautiful (what we could see).
