Old and slow…maybe it wasn't my day, or maybe I wasn't as string as I thought, but heading up the ski hut trail was very difficult for me. That alone took 4 hours plus plenty of stops. But there on the summit was my group- cheering me on!

The views brought a smile to my face and wish I could have spent more time up there just soaking it all in, but Devil's Backbone was calling and I had some fears to conquer. I had had anxiety about the backbone for weeks…I don't know whether it was the high from summiting or my stubborness, but I had no issues hiking that trail down and found it stunning in beauty…until you hit past the notch… lackluster walk down the fire road…already thinking I may enjoy this on again, doing an out and back on the backbone! Thank you to whoever made that BEAUTIFUL sign at the summit❤
