The initial climb is killer. Then you enter the “woods”, which happened to be covered in snow. We were grateful for the snow covered trail as we seemed to be overheating from the first two miles. Then….it just continued on and on. At times, we were making our way through a foot of snow, if we veered of the footmark tracks. The amount of snow greatly increased the difficult, maintaining your balance became a struggle. We finally reached the tower and summit at about 2 pm. Amazing views and a great summit experience. Climbing the final boulder increased the sense of adventure and accomplishment. This was a great hike to end our challenge with!
