The trail was in perfect condition, no more snow. I absolutely love this trail. I typically do the West Face approach to graduer peak which is fully exposed and no water. It was my first time doing it from the east approach and it was lovely! There is a running stream, so a perfect water supply for both humans and doggos! Additionally, there is shade a good third of this hike! We did run into a rattlesnake that was slithering alongside the trail. It rattled at us but did not coil, so it was just warning us it was there. So keep an eye out for snakes.
We had a decent size group! 7 people and 3 doggos. Everyone did fine and the doggos were fantastic as well. Make sure to bring plenty of water, even with the stream you will want some. Especially on days like today where it was 100 degrees when we were hiking. It was a beautiful view from the top and the elevation gain was manageable. Definitely a fan of this trail and would probably go again.
