One of the longer hikes I’ve done. Got a permit the day before, there were plenty available. Started hiking early in the morning. Passed a ranger shortly after Halfway Trail Camp… he was doing permit checks.
The last 1.5 miles of this trail felt brutal. My mileage time plummeted.
Another hiker at the peak was also doing the Six-Pack challenge. I hung out at the summit for 20-30 minutes before heading back down.
Made it to the car shortly before sunset.
