My 6th and final peak of the San Diego 6-pack of peaks challenge. The entire trail is a dirt road and parking at the trailhead is few but we found a spot. The first two miles of the trail is a steady incline then the trail flattens out once you get to the pines. On the final ascent the temperature dropped about 10 degrees and the wind picked up so I’m glad I brought a jacket. The view from the peak was stunning. You could see snow-covered San Jacinto, Toro and Rabbit peak in borrego, Palomar Mountain and Cuyamaca Peak. Saw some 6-pack of peakers on the trail too. Rock on ladies! Was a perfect day to do this hike and cannot wait to get my finishers pack!
