Saving this peak for the Fourth of July is for the classic monument and American flag that honors Boy scouts of America. I arrived at the trailhead at 3:30am so I would make it to the summit for sunrise. Heading up, with my headlamp on I slowly began to see the glow on the horizon as I ended my ascent. Arrived to the Summit on my own about five minutes before the sun crested the horizon and what an EPIC and spectacular view I enjoined. Returned to the trailhead by 7:30am.
