This time my buddy went off to the JMT, but he left me with all of the tools I needed to handle the trail. When I arrived at 6am the Icehouse parking lot was already packed. I had to park at an odd angle on the side and I won't lie, I hit the trail a little worried about the state of my car. All that worry left me soon after as the miles began to increase. After the Icehouse Saddle I was alone for a few miles. The ascent soon became fun and challenging. My heart was continuously pumping and the final ascent to the top made everything worth it. I made my way down and finished the 14 mile hike in close to 8 hours. Thankfully my car was perfectly ok!
