we started our hike at 5:30 in the morning and the first 30 minutes was in darkness, so had to use head lamps. It was really neat to start so early. the trail started out easy enough until we got to the snow. It started snowing while we were there and just kept getting worse and then the wind kicked in and there was zero visabilty at the top and unfortuanlty did not get to see over the edge. infact we couldnt even tell where the edge was. I defeintly recommend on a clear dry day, but because of the permit we got it this was our day to go. it was very dificult would like to do it again when clear
