Very challenging but also very rewarding. The initial vertical part of the hike is pretty challenging. Especially when doing it solo. But take this challenge as a blessing because you wont encounter nearly as many tourists and every time you need to rest, you rest with an amazing view. Once you reach the top, the rest is a cake walk so put all of your energy into the climb. At the top there is a water station as well as a small snack shack inside the visitors center. Be ready for ALOT of people at the top (especially if you hike on a saturday like i did) as one can drive literally all the way to the summit. Make sure you bring sunscreen and if you get an earlier start, wearing pants is recommended because the trails can get narrow enough that you cant avoid hitting plants in places.

THE SUMMIT…. i could see buildings in San Francisco and Sacromento from the top, the view is absolutely incredible. I must have been blessed to have been up there on such a clear day.

I also got the GAIA app to work on this hike. It was great and i included a screenshot with data from my hike.
