We were planning on going the week before; but the winds looked pretty extreme. We were expecting 20mph winds at the summit. Hikers on the way back down said that it was pretty windy. When we got to the summit the wind miraculously had calmed down! We spent about 30 minutes there and took in all the beauty before heading back down. Definitely a challenging hike; but we took our time and left feeling pretty satisfied with ourselves. The rocks and roots at the lower half of the trail were no joke. On our way back down my feet were craving flat ground. All in all it was a great hike, with great weather and the best company.
