Great hike over all. Got on the first tram at 10am and headed up. Went to the ranger station to get a permit (Free) and spoke with the ranger. He asked how much water we had, where we were headed, and if we had a good map. He added that all trails is wrong about the distance to hike the peak. All trails said 1o miles. It was closer to 12 miles and took us 6 almost 7 hours to complete the hike.
It was a warm day, light breeze, and shaded most of the way. When you get past the Wellman Dived you loose the trees and become exposed. When we got to the peak we had light sprinkles of rain. Nothing too bad. We couldn't locate the sign for the peak. Disappointed in that. But view from the top was awesome in all directions.
