New trail was in great condition. Round trip is 13 miles with 4000ft gain. First 6 miles gain around 2800ft, last 1 mile is harder climb requiring bouldering followed by steep climb of 500ft in 0.2 miles. It was sunny, so we saw great views of Mt Si, Mt Rainier, Olympic Range, Seattle, Bellevue and what not!! Old and New trails intersect each other twice. To get a taste of old trail, we chose to do it between the intersections – it was really steep and not maintained at all.
