Would have been a beautiful hike except for the flies. I stupidly didn't listen to the AllTrails reviews and thought I could handle some bugs. NOPE. This wasn't some annoying knots, it was literally flymaggeddon. I think all the worlds flies are born on this trail. These were super flies. Huge and they bite. You can't just swipe at them either for them to leave you alone, you have to physically hit them off of you. There was no reprieve either, the whole 13 miles it was a mess, although they were a little lighter at the peak. Wish I would've listened about the bug spray and but net, although I still think it would've been miserable.
