This was my 6th and final peak! It was a long one and a good challenge. It was my first time, so I'm glad a friend joined me!

We started at 8:45 a.m. and saw another car with 2 people starting at the same time. Other than those two, we only saw 5 other hikers during our time on the trail. One of them was a fellow challenger, which was cool.

The first 2 miles are steep and narrow. The weather was cool, but the sun was out beating down on my face and I was sweating like crazy. We eventually got to pass through some shady spots which was a huge relief.

Once we got to the dirt road, it was a steady climb and pretty exposed. There are some forks, which are a little confusing. Thankfully, I had a trip report to refer to which was super helpful!

We made it to the top right at 12 p.m. We spent about 50 minutes up there snacking, taking pics, and resting. There were 2 jeeps up there that had previously passed us on that dirt road. We also saw a motorcyclist pass us. The tower was so cool. We could hear radio chatter, so someone was up there on the lookout!

Made it down much quicker, but took a wrong turn when we only had about 1/8 of a mile to the parking lot. Ended up going the long way around the fire station. Finished the hike in exactly 6 hours (not counting our rest at the top).

Super stoked to have completed this challenge! Got a nice sunburn as a parting gift. Happy trails y'all!
