Slightly aggressive uphill start to the trail then you get on a fire road and its not bad from there . Other then the ice on some parts of the trail, not a real difficult hike. The forestry tower was not open at time time of the year

Once at the top you have nice views of Mount Palomar observatory and the ocean to the desert
