I had anticipated this would be the hardest hike, but after El Cajon I felt very prepared for this one. A brutal start to be sure but once I got past the steep start, the hike was quite pleasant. Though the top had some snow from a previous storm compacted into some tricky ice to cross, would make sure to have poles when hiking this one in the winter after a storm.
I dedicated this one to my Dad who passed away April 2012, and my dog Hans who passed away January 2018. There literally isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about either of them.
