Making these 13-14 mile days. My head never once doubted our ability to come through with my plan but my body said otherwise after getting a gnarly blister on the ball of my right foot.
Not everything on the trail is pure bliss, smiles and happy trails (although the misery is hardly ever shown on any social media or taken pictures of, as in this case… no pictures of the ugly giant blister). However, pushing through these challenges that can be either be mental, physical, or both is what makes hiking so rewarding.
This was the first of 3 peaks on this weekend. Trail is well maintained and easy to follow. Not many people on trail which makes it awesome.
