Got super-duper hot even starting at 0625. I think the temperature reached mid 90s as soon as we were heading down. We logged 13.57mi & finished in 6:19 hour. Two friendly staff members were up in the tower. Prepared for the ‘hot-ness' though; enough water, electrolyte drink, UV proof long sleeves shirt, head net, bug spray, and all. Saw three motor bikers & two truckers- all were cordial & respectful of road space.
