…and #6 San Diego 6PoP challenge is complete!! Despite the cold, windy and rainy weather, we still managed to opt outside on a Sunday funday. No rain yet at 7am start, 34 degree temps stepped off to Oak Grove trail. Brrr cold ????  First 2.5 mi was quite challenging, very steep but yet a good way to get the legs moving. Hills for breakfast!!! The next 5 miles was on the fire road, very scenic route surrounded with beautiful views and even saw a rock formation of a lion. Clouds quickly moved in so we hustled to keep our pace going to beat the rain but last 2 miles it started to drizzle. Luckily, we were prepared, got our rain gear on and booked it to the top. By the time we reached the summit, it was very windy and more rain but not heavy. We didn’t want to spend too much time (only about 20 mins) at the peak it was so cold. We quickly ate our lunch, took our summit pics and even had time to find the geological marker as we started our descend. Yes, it’s a MUST to do a shofie with the marker and the patch or your summit didn’t happened lol ???? It took us almost 4 hours to the top and 2 hours going down. It turned out to be a great day to hike with friends, lots of laughs and we chatted the miles away. BTW, I didn’t care how I looked but my $5 poncho kept me warm the entire hike ???? Logged 14 miles with 3,609 elevation gain ⛰????

Peak bagging continues…. I’m half way there #9/18✅

Summit strong one peak at a time! ⛰????????
