First half of the Baldy Bowl trail up to the ski hut composed of either wet mud or sloshy snow patches. The rest of the trail was covered with deep snow. It would have been difficult to discern the actual trail if it wasn't for the footprints that previous hikers made. Due to the high elevation I was in and out of the clouds at different sections of the trail. Getting towards the top and eventually summiting provided amazing views of the surrounding snowcapped, above-the-clouds San Gabriel Mountains. It was a difficult hike due to slipping and tripping hazards in the snow, but I would say it was probably my favorite hike outside of a National Park!
