This was the MOST STUNNING I've ever experienced this entire trail (the only thing missing was a sea of clouds at the summit but there was a little of that for a moment!). The amount of water gushing through Icehouse canyon alone makes you truly feel transported to the Pacific Northwest. There was even a multi-tiered waterfall in the distance that never existed before. From Icehouse saddle to Cucamonga Peak reminded me of how lucky we are to have a trail such as this here in SoCal. Along the way I met another fellow Six Pack of Peaks challenger named Joshua and also met a ton of Just Trek Podcast listeners which really made my day. One of my highlights was drinking from the Columbine spring – pure mountain water that doesn't need a filter apparently. I could have stayed on the trail all day appreciating the beauty of the forest in Icehouse canyon and just bathe in the streams.
