On August 8 my group of 10 was fortunate enough to join some mountain legends on our 1st attempt to summit San Gorgonio. We started hiking around 5:45 a.m. and made it to the summit in 5 hours and 20 minutes. I started hiking again back in March of this year and in May I maid the decision to chase after the Six pack of peaks. I wasn't sure if I would be able to do it but I am happy to say that this Summit was #8 for me out of the 11 peaks available this years. I will be chasing the remaining 3 and what an experience it's been so far.
