Cool in the morning, but that seemed to go away as we made our way past the first mile. We started about 6:45am. Took a rest at the Saddle for about 15 minutes. A bit windy in that particular spot. Second half was more challenging. This hike was not as hard as Wilson, but still a workout. Lots of loose rocks, but manageable. The top was a real treat, unobstructed views. We saw several smaller aircraft flying below us from the top! Good vibes from all the other hikers. Back at the car by 2:15pm. Nice outdoor grill/pub just a few minutes away to grab some celebratory beers as we gazed up at the mountain. really nice hike overall.
