My husband and I took off for a day hike to Strawberry Peak. It was a beautiful day, a rather easy hike, and ended up running into a group of Boy Scouts which was fun. We hiked the last portion of the trail with them! Although the views were beautiful on this hike, it felt more like a desert hike than anything. No flowers around, but because of all the rain, the hills surrounding us were all green! Quite beautiful! the first two miles were basically flat, then the climbing began, but nothing too strenuous. Afterwards we stopped for a waterfall hike on the way back at Switzer Falls which was amazing. We didn't have our water shoes though and there were a total of 22 water crossings there and back. So we were a bit cold with wet feet afterwards, but it was worth it. What an amazingly beautiful hike! I highly recommend planning on stopping here after Strawberry Peak if you're up for it! Great place for a picnic lunch too! Simply gorgeous!
