Very well maintained trail, overcast with light drizzle for a very short time and sunny on our descent. When you first start the climb into the woods it really starts at a good incline and so peaceful hearing the wind blowing through the trees. My wife and I both felt this was one of the best maintained trails we have hiked on . We also got to see a couple that just got married on this trail and we’re getting their pictures taken. About a mile from the top we saw the most AMAZING flowers that covered the hillside in rainbow colors of flowers. It was pretty magnificent. We also got to cheer on runners that were doing a local trail race in the area.

we camped at the Dow Creek campground and it was a 10. The spots are fire enough apart to give you some privacy and the bathrooms are clean too. After the hike we refueled at El Puerto in Hoodsport. The food was yummy and the restaurant was next to the water. After we just had to top it off with some fantastic ice cream from Hoodsport coffee.
