This hike was a butt kicker! The first 2 miles the incline was intense, our AllTrails app reported that you gain 2334 feet of elevation over the 10 mile hike, but most of that happens in the first few miles. We brought lots of food and water and finished the hike in 4.5 hours with time at the top to play. Gorgeous views all the way around. This hike highlighted the incredible biodiversity we have here in San Diego County. Every few miles the terrain looks totally different. At the top we were blessed with green rolling hills dotted with the yellow of the changing leaves. It was incredible! The actual summit was on top of a boulder off to the right once we reached the top. We were worried about footing on the way down, but the trail wasn't as slippery as we expected. 3 down 3 to go (since I couldn't finish San Jacs due to altitude sickness).
