You can never go wrong hiking in the white mountains of New Hampshire, this hike took me 4 hrs to complete while taking the suggested loop and for that I cannot complain. This peak was new to me but not the views and sounds of being in the white mountains as I have taken on the pemi loop sometime ago. I tend to find myself taken back by the atmosphere as I am in unfamiliar land, yet being so close to a highway it did take me sometime to traverse inside the forest to listen for all it contains. Once at the peak I met 2 hikers following the AT, both seemed to be from down south hiking north as they were quick to point out my Massachusetts accent. One man in particular was visiting his brother who had passed away on this peak sometime ago, I didn't ask to much but you can sure tell there was more than just the 3 of us up there. Just by gazing upon them you could tell they had experience in what they were up against, I don't think I could of asked them more questions about their journey. After making it back to the car I had planned to meet up and camp with family members overnight and have all of us conquer Mt Washington the next morning!
