I guess I like to accidentally delete posts….here I go again!

The Easter bunny decided to go through hell on Easter Sunday and summit Santiago. Luckily, we did not get a ticket (as we keep hearing that people are) The start of the Cadillac Trail is a Jeep/off-roading trail, very steep and rocky. Once you get to where the mountain bikes meet up, the trail becomes a little better. We enjoyed the “secret garden” you walk through before trudging up dirtbike trails, but its still mostly shaded. Once we reached where Joplin meets the trail, we were happy to be walking on a fire road. Little to no shade at this point, we  get to summit where its super windy and the sign was hard to find. We ate some lunch and back down we went! Definitely will not be doing this one again until the Holy Jim trailhead re-opens.
