What a hot day! I actually went past the restrooms and parked where I saw other cars.. then about 1/4 mile in I realized I was on the wrong trail. Make sure you make a left at the restrooms and you will see the trail parking sign as well as the entrance for the Hot Springs Mountain trail. I started the correct trail at around 6:30AM. I hit the summit (up the ladder and ropes) in an hour and 40 minutes. At the summit there is probably only enough space for 2-4 people at most. For the first two miles you are in direct sunlight with little to no shade. The trail is easy to follow, very hard to get lost. The hike is rated as hard but I would say it's more on the lower end of the moderate spectrum.  There are bugs, lots of them. Luckily for me none of them got in my mouth or nose. I was wearing bug spray but it didn't really keep them away from me. There was barely anyone on the trail today, literally 7 people I encountered up until I got to my car. I made it back down to my car in a total time of 2 hours and 49 minutes.
