July 2024, Independence day weekend less people on the trail but really busy on the top (lot of people take the tramp i guess), extremely hot at the trailhead and very cool and windy at the top. A good but long hike. The 5-8 mile from the trailhead region is pretty cool with waterfalls and fauna. Careful while coming down, its easy to join PCT and get diverged from Marion Mountain trail.
A good hike but start early. Heat is brutal in late afternoon while coming down.
