Great hike, not too hot. The first couple of mile were as described- steep & no cover. There were a lot of California poppies blooming near the top of the open climb. Once we got to the tree cover it was very beautiful. The total milage was a little over 11 miles – different from the described hike length, but we did go to the peak & the the fire tower.
