Driving to the Hot Springs Mountain Trailhead is almost 90mins from San Diego. The drive was almost on curvy narrow roads and as well unpaved road.We reached the parking spot around 4.20Am.

One of my friends joined me on this hike, slowly we started walking towards the Trail with torch in my hand, phone torch in my friends hand and a whistle around my neck.

As we started our hike by 4.30AM, sky was bright with stars but not bright enough to guide us on the trail. Upon reaching the post which says Hot Springs Mountain Trail head(its not visible unless u direct the torch towards it). We started walking through the gate and you could keep hearing cricket sounds.

The trail was well maintained with big pine trees around. We kept walking the trail and slowly it started to pick the elevation.By 7.30Am we reached a point from where we could see mountains around us and also bright sun up the sky.Through out our hike, encountered alot of flies, which kept bothering us. Luckily we had our face mask(net).

Upon reaching the Hot Springs Point, the views are spectacular. There was a tower opposite to the trail to reach the peak. So path to summit is a bit cruvy n you should bend and walk to reach the peak.

After reaching the point, climbed up the structure(ladder), to reach the summit. We spend around 1hr up there, took some beautiful pics, had our food and sign in the register book before we headed down the hill around 9Am.we did come across a fellow hiker(social group)in the mid of the trail.

Took around 2 hours to reach the parking spot. Even on the hike down, flies bothered alot.Overall the hike was good.

Look for temperatures on the specific day before anyone wanted to start Hot Springs Mountain Summit.Carry as much as liquids, wear full sleeve shirts and also carry face net to save from flies.Be safe.

Please keep the trails clean.
