This hike started at noon. Although it was sunny it wasn't too hot. There were bugs though on the trail which were an annoyance though not terrible. All of the hikers I encountered on the trail were headed down. The hike lasted 4 hours and 56 minutes long including breaks. I reached the foot of the summit slab around 1445H. The ammo box with the register was there but there was no functional pen or pencil in the ammo box so I did not sign the register. Soon after, I climbed up the ladder and the rope to the top of the summit block where I took my photos and touched the two survey markers. After descending back down to the foot of the summit rock I decided to attempt one more time to reach the third survey marker. This time, I finally was able to reach the third survey marker – in previous visits I only was able to reach the two survey markers on the summit block accessible via the ladder and rope. The third marker used to be inaccessible to me until this hike when after determining where to scramble, I finally was able to reach it resulting in today's hike being the first time I was able to reach and touch all three survey markers. While up on the summit block, I saw two gliders flying in the area not too far. I made it back to my car at 1726H and drive out of the reservation land before sunset in compliance with the reservation rules.
