We started our hike at 9am and although there were some cars there before us, we didn't see another person until we were halfway to the summit. Only saw about 10 people during our 5 hours of hiking.
The weather started cool and overcast, but soon the clouds opened up to a clear blue sky. The first 2 miles are a nonstop incline. I was moving like a snail. The wooded forest area provides relief with a flat path and awesome scenery.
The rock climb to get to the very top (where the beautiful sign is) is a challenge! Had I gone alone, I may not have attempted it. Glad I had some friends there to guide and support me. Incredible views from the top. A really enjoyable hike!
