Mostly a wide fire road and fairly easy. It was a brisk 36 degrees in the morning when we got there. Saw no one on the trail until the end at the summit. Port a potty at the trail head, the real bathrooms weren’t open. Some snow and ice patches along the way but nothing that we needed to worry about. Steep up the first 2 miles or so and then it evened out. The old fire lookout tower is cool. Nice views of the LA mountains from there. Then up a cool single track trail to the summit which is hard to get up to – its on a pile of high rocks and there is a ladder plus some rope to rappel on. A bit tricky to get down, stay facing the rock and rappel down. Overall a fun and not too difficult trail.
