So far, this is one of the serene hikes I’ve done, at least when we did it. Not a lot of hikers and quite breezy more than half of the way. It helped that we head up a little early with the plan of going to Cuyamaca after and on a side note, it didn’t happen as the ranger said it’s closed (back in Aug). Of course, there’s always some steep inclines here and there and the challenge of finding the benchmark is always, well, a challenge, lol. Once we managed to hit the summit, we were rewarded with magnificent views of mountain ranges nearby.
