Hiked in the clouds most of the day, which made for a nice cool hike and a little fall spookiness. Gorgeous hike, saw deer, fall leaves, and a great time with my longest hiking buddy. The top was absolutely freezing with no visibility.
Unfortunately, we also saw 4 separate bow hunters. There is no hunting allowed and a sign is posted at the trailhead. One of the hunters confirmed he was hunting and for deer and bears. He was actively looking for deer right on the trail. Super dangerous as there were people everywhere and low visibility ie could easily put an arrow through a human.

Hunting is absolutely allowed on Mt Wilson. No firearms are allowed. Please do more research on the area you decide to hike in because it’s a national forest and open for all legal activities. Also no bow hunter is shooting at humans. Especially ones wearing neon colored hiking clothes
Hunting allowed in all National Forests, darling. 100% legal. And rifles 100% allowed on Mt Wilson (In certain areas, not down low).
