WOW! I was honestly surprised there's a +4,300 ft peak in the wine regions of Napa and Sonoma counties and that there's actually chain control zones in the area. ANYWAY, this is a pretty straightforward hike as well after the first mile – 5 miles in and 5 miles out. After the first mile in the wooded area, you'll find yourself hiking up a gravel road the rest of the way. I was so happy to start early when it was relatively cool and the fog was still covering the valleys below. When I made it to the top, the fog had essentially left the area. Stunning 360-degree views! Worth the trip!
