Well that was nice. It honestly was not too bad. We’ve hiked more technical and steeper trails. It was just the thin oxygen the whole time, and working out way too much the week leading up to this hike. The first three miles were relatively easy. But the last 2.25 were annoying. It’s like the trail that never ends and you feel like you’re in Mordor, waiting for Gollum to pop out at any moment. Parts of the last two miles get technical and have unsure footing, loose rocks and gravel. But it was pretty worth it. There were a lot of flies on the whole trail, but they left us alone. On the descent, I was just ready to be done. I was hungry and wanted a margarita. So when we came out of the forest and saw the ski lifts, it was a beautiful sight.
