It's already mid-May and I finally did the first hike of the So CA six-pack peak challenge for this year.  This is my first time during the challenge.  I was encouraged by a running/hiking friend who enlightened me on this website and the challenge.  One of my fitness goals for 2023 was to do some peak hikes. Previously I had only done Mt Baldy in 2021 and hikes in the local hills.  I don't like being cold and doing anything in the snow so I waited until now to venture out on my first hike of the challenge.  And it was perfect conditions!  I had read up on this trail and wasn't disappointed.  Good steady climb with minimal scramble…and the views were worth it!  Able to see Mt Baldy with some snow still on it 🙂  The weather was actually warm, and was in the mid 70's when we finished.
