First off… Chevy Sparks are not meant for any type of off-roading. My sister an I made the mistake of taking her car instead of my Civic… but all ended well and we didn’t get stuck anywhere…

We hit the trail at about 7. My sister started having trouble with her hip almost right away. The going was tough.. but she was tougher. (But I have photographic evidence of her displeasure)

We met up with a freaking awesome group of hikers from Friends that Hike. Julio, Tim, and Dawn invited us to join them. We were so glad we did.

We reached the summit at about 3:30ish, took pictures, and sat down for a break and lunch.

The way down was much faster, but still got back to the cars at about 9:00. So thankful to have flashlights and our new friends.
