I started at 0530 on this hike. The sun came up over the mountains which made for a great start to my day. The oak Grove trail is in good condition. The two and a half miles along that trail at the beginning got me tuned up for the remainder of the hike. I then followed the fire road all the way to high point. The temperature was cool to start the day and rose as the sun got higher in the sky. That was my biggest motivator to get the trail over with! I didn't want to get caught in the middle of the day beaming sunshine 🙂
