Came here 2 days after a huge rainstorm, so mud was present throughout trail, but not bad. Plenty of parking in lot and on the road. Candy store was open to 8 people at a time. Trailhead next to store and wide enough in most places for people to pass. Shade was present on this nice day, although can get hot on a sunnier day. Plenty of trees and bushes to provide for most part of trail. Trail clearly marked and have many markers thoughout with directions. Especially by the 4 corners. The last half mile is the steepest of the hike but still doable without poles (which I normally use going up and down) but today I didn't use them at all. The bushes and trees are closer to you so if you dont like, wear jacket and long pants to avoid Bush whacking. Gorgeous view on top;can see Mt. Badly, especially with the recent snow capped, and Catlaina island 35 degrees to the left. Going down was definitely a lot easier, and I was just happy that the candy store was finally open so I can get my candy 🙂 #3peak for socal and #5 for total POPs

Thanks for posting! Looks awesome. Did you need a Southern California Adventure parking pass for this hike (https://www.myscenicdrives.com/store/item/forest-passes/southern-california/annual)?
yes
