What amazing views! This trail is moderately technical from the start to about the 2 mile point with loose rock and steep switchbacks. I highly recommend poles. It then levels out and proceeds up with switchbacks to the top and out to the lookout. So breathtaking with forest to the north and red rock to the south. The wildflowers are blooming and the plant life is fully green. So beautiful! We can't wait to do it again from the bridge up to the lookout next time. Our first of two hikes this day, we completed Bear Mountain after this. Amazing day of hiking!
